I am absolutely disgusted. I don't understand how any mother could do this while their own child is sick and gasping for breath. That poor baby. I don't have kids and never will, but if that was my baby I would be struggling to even muster the strength to stand. I would be so devastated, heartbroken and scared, and sit by my baby's side to comfort them and love them. I wouldn't be able to look away or leave their side. I wouldn't be dancing in front of a fucking camera.

What the fuck? I think that baby is adorable. She looks so cute and loving, I would be thrilled to be her mommy. This makes me so sad. Imagine this sweet little girl growing up and finding out her mum announced to the world that her child is "ugly."

Before I became an antinatalist, I vowed that if I ever birthed or adopted a child (I always preferred the idea of adoption but sadly it's not an option at all and I wouldn't dream of procreating now), I would always remind them of how much I cherish them, how amazing they are to me and how much I love them. I promised to never make any child of mine feel inherently "wrong", unloved or unwanted.

I try not to judge, but I can't help but be so angry at how apathetic, cruel and stupid people like this are. I hope the boy that did that in front of his dying grandfather kicks himself when he's older for being so insensitive and immature. Imagine if one of the last memories you have of your dying grandparent (assuming he's a loving relative, which I acknowledge may not be the case) is of you dancing next to them and posting it all over social media. It's gross.

However, seeing parents do things like this is with their children particularly hits a nerve. Despite being an antinatalist, I absolutely adore children. If I weren't ill, disabled and if I had the ability to provide for a child, I would have adopted. It used to be my dream to adopt a child, because I know how horrendous the social care system can be. I couldn't even imagine doing anything to hurt them or belittle them. I would love them so, so much.

Damnit, I'm crying now. This is another dream that can never be a reality due to my health and circumstances.

Kind of the same for me with animals. All dogs are good, some owners make some dogs bad.

Human kids are harder for me to appreciate, because they grow up into adults. But, I respect your sentiment.

I agree with you about animals. Although I love children, I love animals too. I can't have a dog where I live sadly, but I do have two cats I absolutely adore. The idea of causing them any harm is incomprehensible. They're basically my little furry babies.

I didn't watch any of the videos but read the descriptions from others on here, I can't judge these people as I don't know what made them this way, it's certainly not 'normal' (whatever normal is).

Give me a secluded cabin with some animals ( lots of cats) for company and you won't here a peep from me again.

Things that has been always taken for granted as sacred like motherhood and dying is being made light of in pursuit of notoriety and admiration. I personally see a devolving of big portion of our species into lesser than animals. Humans are weird that way that we are the only beings that can either rise to be like angels or descend to be like less than fiends or insects

I think you have a good point, our morality is being shaped by media, be it user generated or wider manipulation. Realistically climate change will start the ball rolling when countries start to lose water resources but have the weapons to acquire it elsewhere, it's when it all starts to fall over because humanity is built itself a fragile platform that won't take much to topple.

In all honest we fucking deserve it (as a race not as individuals)

Cats are capable of giving a lot when I was stuck with my abusive ex I'd be having my first drink before work in the morning whilst she was in bed and her cat would come down off its bed and sit on me as if she was exchanging energies with me I would feel a bit better compared to when sitting alone.
Also recently a neighbourhood cat has took a liking to me and darts out the bushes to get stroked. And speaking of intelligence, cats are smarter than humans, pretty soon they will be humans damn overlords at this rate, one can only hope. They won't be using their kitten as a cotton ball.
