i remember seeing a bodycam video where the cops walked up to a guy chilling at a gas station, either someone called the cops on him for whatever reason or he just called the cops on himself, and they started asking him questions. he entertained the conversation for about half a minute then all of a sudden grabbed one of the cops' gun from his holster and shoots himself through the head and drops dead. it started and finished in all about 2 seconds. i'm sure those pigs are gonna remember that night till the day they die. what a way to go.

Honestly, I'm of the mindset that too many variables that one is not in control of, in this case - someone you don't see tackling you, your gun jamming unexpectedly with others around, that kind of thing - is usually not the best thought out plan. Plus, if the shot isn't fatal, there are people there to administer first aid quickly and call for help immediately. You might end up surviving it and then have to continue living all f'd up. If that's your desire, though, about how you want to go, good luck then.

You mean foolproof. One of the flaws in this plan is that it seems foolproof when it actually isn't. As others have pointed out, it's simple in theory, but once you're actually there, all kinds of things can go wrong that you wouldn't even think to anticipate. Too many variables will be out of your control, it's not foolproof.

You'd have to hope to get a strong enough gun, otherwise you'd have to aim carefully... and that wouldn't be possible in a heat-of-the-moment public suicide. Honestly, this is not a good idea at all.

In addition to what others have said, trauma surgeons have become EXTREMELY good at their jobs.

Doing this in public means you would be immediately rushed to the hospital. You still have a very high probability you would survive and suffer long term physical issues afterwards. To make matters worse, what if some good samaritan tries to stop you and in the chaos ends getting injured as well. Now you face being incarcerated as a crippled.

You may think "well, they would just put me in a psychiatric unit since I was trying to kill myself". Trust me, a criminal psychiatric unit is the absolute worst hell on earth.

Don't do this bro. I had a childhood friend that was a gangbanger - he was shot 12 times and 2 of those were in the head. He is still alive today.
