They sure as hell don't have a clue about the pain we are in 24/7.They think they are the shit. So smart, so wise. They're pieces of shit instead.
Who do these people think they are, Socretes, Plato? Wow yes very clever. Fucking unbearable man.
I love the way you think! We could also twist this statement around a bit.
Our problems are temporary as far as our life expectancy goes, which means that our problems will die with us, and this is why we find this solution attractive, since it's permanent![]()
I'm so sorry for your suffering. I understand having chronic, lifelong conditions which are not terminal but will cause me pain all my life. This is why I so strongly support medical aid in dying for non-terminal cases.I've been ill more or less all my life. My guess is I was born with or aquired very early on a virus or an infection that wrecked my system.
I have been severely ill for many decades and now bedbound for the past years.
My problems are not temporary. They are chronic. Permanent. As long as I breathe, I suffer.
My psychiatrist used to say cliches.. i tried to reason with him about my side of the story, and show the problem with his advice, but he wasn't cooperating.. and it soon became clear to me that the money I am spending on his appointments is just not worth what I am getting i return. So I stopped going to him lolIf a "mental health professional" ever rattles off some cliche like that, the patient should reply, "You're getting paid good money for advice I could get on a cocktail napkin?". OK, I stole that from the original 1970's Bob Newhart Show, an American TV comedy.
I'm sorry you had this happen. I am in a similar boat with my health issues coming out of nowhere 30 years ago and were compounded by psych meds and prednisone and imuran. This is not temporary. It's torture and robbery. The medical industry owes me at least a clean death for failing me and making things horribly worse for years. I absolutely hate them.I've been ill more or less all my life. Money that is spent on chronically ill people goes to the medical industry. They don't want us in peace. They want us alive and sick for the doctor visits, and ER visits, and tests, and above all else medications. We are like killing cows to them. A constant source of cash as long as we are alive.Considering the insane amount of money that are wasted on chronically ill patients who want to die, it is truly mind-boggling that the right to a peaceful exist is not legal.
Save your millions and let us die in peace!
I bet I bought someone at Pfizer a boat, and I don't even know about it.Money that is spent on chronically ill people goes to the medical industry. They don't want us in peace. Not just terminal. Some suffer more without that label. I suffer everyday with invisible and undiagnosed illnesses too many. I'm withering away i'm 101 lb today. Was 180. We need to have the right. I put my dog down here wasn't anywhere near suffering like me.I'm so sorry for your suffering. Many people say "we're past history" without knowing history. This is to say, don't be surprised. Ask someone whether history class is important, it's a useful red flag detector.I doubt they would think that, since Socrates also committed suicide. lol
The entire society they lived in had different views on suicide. Our collective view on it was shaped by christianism during the middle ages.I doubt they would think that, since Socrates also committed suicide. lol
They mean that you're not going to live with these issues forever because you won't live forever, so you may as well make the best of life.Everything is permanent, because we can't change our past. We can't unlive our traumas or live what we missed. Many health issues are permanent, aging is permanent. In fact, I wonder what temporary problems people talk about when they use this phrase.
