I saw something yesterday on reddit about a person using another person wanting to commit on suicide watch for their upvotes. It was horrible. People are so out of touch with what mental illness really is, it is mind blowing.Nothing more than a cliche people tell themselves so they don't have to face the reality that not every problem is temporary.
Haha love that definitely will use this next timeJust flip it around on them. Anecdotes cut both ways. "Suicide is a permanent solution to all future problems."
It would be funny if some suicidal person said "Your right, maybe homicide is better then whipped out a pistol and started shooting. Bet some do-gooders would drop that suicide is a permanent solution....line for fear of being shot!Just flip it around on them. Anecdotes cut both ways. "Suicide is a permanent solution to all future problems."

What a drag they areSaying suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem, is a crock of crap. That saying is like a mantra for those do-gooder fools. I hate em I tell you, hate em.

They make me sick manEven worse is "Suicide doesn't end the pain, it just passes it on to someone else"
Do they realise that this is the first thing someone thinks about when they want to ctb?
Also not even true to the extent they are implying... suicide does not have a domino effect. Just because I kill myself doesn't mean my mom, or (if I had one) my sibling is going to end their lives in response to it... therefore, no, you aren't fucking "passing" all the pain and suffering you've personally experienced along otherwise it would inevitably result in another self-inflicted death or attempt. They love to minimize the sheer level and depth of anguish and despair someone must be in to want to end it all. I'm not saying people won't be sad, of course they will grieve, but it shouldn't be that much different than if you died of an illness or accident. Anyone with any empathy should understand the amount of pain a suicidal person was in upon death and at least be happy they've found peace. I hate these goddamn guilt trip sayings they throw around that essentially amount to "you can't end your life because someone that knows you will be sad about it and you should feel bad for them and continue to suffer ok!!"Even worse is "Suicide doesn't end the pain, it just passes it on to someone else"

I just really hope I don't reincarnatePro life type people are annoying. It's best not to listen to them. They cannot understand what others go through as they are unable to experience life the same way.
For me, life itself is the temporary problem and to die is the permanent solution, the best and only solution for me.
To die solves everything anyway. The non existent cannot suffer and as long as someone lives there is unlimited potential for life to get much worse. Nobody can deny that fact. And anyway wouldn't a permanent solution be ideal, at least it would be for me. To die could never be a negative thing, in fact it's simply inevitable for us all. Humans only exist just to die and be forgotten about. There is no point to living.
I'm really sorry for your loss, my family members are the only ones keeping me here can't imagine what you're going throughNobody can use that on me, my loved ones are already gone. If that's not permanent nothing is.

Now they come up with another excuse only suicidal can make this good counter statements but I still want a permanent solution to all my problems. sounds good, sounds better but they just will deny no matter what you got to say. It's so funny that this platitude doesn't even make suicide look bad. Are we supposed to want temporary solutions?
Right?? It's the audacity that someone thinks they know anything about my problems and whether they are temporary or not (spoiler: they're not). JFC.Who do these people think they are, Socretes, Plato? Wow yes very clever. Fucking unbearable man.
Not that I don't believe this, but I would love to see data on this. I just want to know. I want validation on this issue, it would bring me much satisfaction.I read somewhere an interview with the owner of the funeral home. He said that 30% of suicides are impulsive acts, e.g. guy breaks up with his girlfriend and blows his head off with a shotgun. 70% of suicides are lost battles to debilitating chronic mental and physical illnesses. So suicide is most often the only solution to unsolvable problems.
like technically cancer is a temporary problem in your life, but you would want a permanent solution for it. Same for life and depression itself.exactly its a solution idk what they expect
I doubt they would think that, since Socrates also committed suicide. lolWho do these people think they are, Socretes, Plato?
