I've seen some pictures of bodies after hanging on gore sites: after hanging, the bodies' appearance varies in each case, so i find it difficult guess correctly what my body's appearance will be like. Help?

I work in a job where I see bodies post hanging. Count on elongated neck, swollen tongue and bulging eyes.

Long neck, swelling tongue and some people have their eyes wide open. Not really appealing in any way

Thank you. After my body is dead, would my body's lower half become a darker colour?

blood pooling?
basically blood just accumulates in one spot after u dont move for a long while (typically in the legs/feet) & of course if ur hanging for awhile..blood probably wont circulate well ( or at all because you've already passed on)

from "death by hanging: possibilities and limits of medico-legal evidence" by stefan pollak:
In hanging deaths, the body posture is decisive for the temporal formation, distribution and local intensity of hypostasis. If there is no contact between the suspended body and the floor or any other support, the post-mortem lividity will be located circumferentially on the limbs hanging down, especially the lower arms and hands as well as the legs and feet including the plantar regions.
This distribution pattern of post-mortem lividity has been compared with gloves and stockings, respectively. Skin areas which are exposed to local pressure (such as from wristbands, garters and elastic bands) may be exempted from the discolouration. As is known from other hypostatic body regions, the skin is often spotted with numerous intracutaneous haemorrhages which of course do not constitute proof of vital hanging. Apart from the limbs, post-mortem lividity is typically found in the chin region, if the noose ascends to the back of the head, as well as on the skin areas above the hanging mark and the belt line, but also on the lower abdomen and in the genital region. If the victim is rescued from the hanging position at an early stage, the distribution pattern of hypostasis will change according to the secondary body posture.
When rigor mortis arises, the limb conformation gets fixed. So, a foot placed on a ladder rung or another support may cause a bent position of the ipsilateral hip and knee joint. Similarly, a stiffened elbow flexion can be due to a hand's interposition between noose and neck.
The body parts, which are blood-rich due to hypostasis, tend to decompose quickly (skin discolouration, marbling, detachment of the epidermis, blistering). On the other hand, anaemic skin areas are prone to dehydration with subsequent mummification, especially in circulating and dry air. In cases of a prolonged period between hanging and discovery of the body, maggot infestation and decomposition processes may favour a dehiscence of the craniocervical junction finally resulting in decapitation.
from "an autopsy study of death due to suicidal hanging — 264 cases" by dinesh rao:
In 87.88% (n – 232) of hanging an oblique shaped ligature mark was noticed. The horizontal and near oblique ligature marks were seen only in cases of partial suspension. In 95.45% (n – 252) of the cases, the ligature mark showed blackening of the skin (friction burn). Only 4.54% (n – 12) showed intact skin. The outer layer of the skin over the ligature mark showed displacement in majority of the cases. In 70.83% (n – 187) of cases damage to neck muscle fibers and hemorrhage at the Sternal end of the Sternocleidomastoid muscle were present. In 85.61% (n – 226) of cases the cervical vertebra was intact. In 52.27% (n – 138) of the cases the internal carotid artery showed transverse tear. In 99.42% (n – 248) cases the thyroid cartilage was found intact. The hyoid bone was damaged in 6.06% (n – 16) of the victims.
