If i got diagnosed with cancer i wouldn't be sad at all

For me, I'd prefer to be diagnosed early so treatment can begin faster and the cancer be removed faster.

OTOH, not that concerned if I have heart failure or similar during sleep. (Some days I don't mind non existence, other days I don't mind existing)

I have The exact same mindset when it comes to my health. The moment I have any serious illness I will not go to the hospital.I refuse to.

I don't need any artificial Technologically advanced methods to prolong my health . If my health is gone, then it's my time. And I'm fine with that. i don't need to work a job i don't like and save money just so that i can blow it all on the corrupt healthcare system to stay alive a few more years.

My mother was diagnosed with cancer (at 85) last year. She told the doctor "I've been praying for this"...so you are not alone. She took no treatment, maybe obvious at her age. She felt sad about her life, it held no joy or purpose. It sounds like uou might feel that way too...I hope you get some relief.

However, I found out that here in the USA, you can go to a place like the state of Oregon and they will assist you with death (MAID laws). I don't need to save up a fortune to go to Switzerland where I may or may not be denied doctor assisted suicide. Too many rules and red tape to cut through.
In Oregon, you can find a doctor, show him the cancer diagnosis, tell him you have 6 months to live, are suffering immensely, and off you go!
Can't wait for my diagnosis, to be honest! I'm looking forward to it.

Yes is how I understand it too. Final weeks/months can be agony apparently. People can resort to drastic methods because of the pain.

That actually sounds really good. But I'm not sure exactly what will happen with these guys. I mean, we think it's going to be as easy as just finding a doctor and showing him the diagnosis.

But I wonder if they'll make us jump through hoops.

Theres some states in the USA that offer euthansia if terminal. So one wouldnt have to suffer as much if they got terminal cancer they could head to a state that offers euthansia and be done

You really don't have to do all that. With a canver diagnosis and a time frame you can get hospice care. They basically just drug you up until you die.

even if you live in a "red state"? I've seen people suffer to death even in hospice because "the lord" or whatnot.

Whatever. Lol where have you supposedly seen this? In what capacity? Who was the hospice agency? I live in one of the reddest states. I used to work in an assisted living facility with lots of end of life patients. Every one was drugged to the gills. Why does everything have to be political with some people?

I wish for a cancer or some other terminal disease/illness. I've been smoking cigarettes for pretty much 30 years and nothing. I watched my aunt and grandfather die of lung cancer and it's not pretty. Don't think I would care as long as I had an out. Wouldn't get treatment. Not sure if I would be able to still work to have health insurance for hospice care though. Just give me morphine and let me go. Feel bad for my daughter if she would even still be around to watch me slowly die. Not a good memory.
