  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Cutting your wrists does seem to be reliable IF... IF.... IF it is done correctly and well thought through. Cutting across the wrist is useless. Cutting up from wrist toward the elbow or down from the elbow toward the wrist seems to be more effective. Also, too many people use it as a "cry for help" by being stupid about when and especially where they do it.

CTB is VERY SERIOUS business and should not be approached lightly or out of desperate emotion. Do your research, take your time and when the time comes, don't "try" to CTB... succeed with a solid plan.

Unfortunately wrist-cutting is to be avoided, with a 2% success rate and intense pain it is easily the worst method to ctb. If you have seen it on the news then it's unsurprising that they would look for a good story, horrific ctb methods tend to sell well as news articles. It's also affiliated with self-harm and impulsivity which means people see it as something only a mentally ill person would choose, which means of course they get an extra opportunity to repeat their pro-life help drivel. I hope you can find a better method or another way out of your presumed horrible situation.

Absolutely agreed.

For every successful case you see on the news, there's an astronomical amount of failed attempts using this method.

The news will highlight the "shocking" uncommon occurrences, as opposed to the full story behind it.

I attempted this years ago, very impulsively, and obviously it was not successful. I can say from experience you do not realize how physically difficult it actually is to do until you start doing it. Your monkey brain (primal survival instinct) is very strong and I have a high pain tolerance and was out of my mind and I still gave up after a few moments of trying because the pain was unbearable.

Just because it's on the news doesn't mean it's common, I mean, think of how many millions of people get in a car every day in your region and drive uneventfully, versus how often you see a car accident on your local news. Maybe one or two a day, sometimes none.
