Thanks, yes, I've watched a couple of mortician YouTube videos. Kind of morbid but fascinating as well. You might like the Ask a Mortician youtube channel.

Is that what it is? That's cool. See? Learn something new every day. Thanks for that.I always thought this- that your hair and nails keep growing after death but apparently- it's your skin drying out and shrinking back that makes it look like your hair and nails are longer.
Sort of. I don't want people to find me when I'm way into my decomposition process. It's like you don't want them to find you too early, but too late would not be good either.. the poor clean up people in .
The same thought runs through my mind always- not too soon not too late, must b perfectly timed where your looks havent changed and funky smell hasn't emerged.Sort of. It's like you don't want them to find you too early, but too late would not be good either.. the poor clean up people in that case. Ugh this is so gross
Have no interest in visually being cosmetic, I will however make sure my son isn't first to the scene also will have tarps down for quick tidy up of body and bag placed over head incase mother is to be first at the scene- I will not force my her to a visual that will scar her for the rest of her days, it's going to be a raw sight anyhowMaybe it's a silly question but I wondered if anyone else thinks about this? I'm struggling badly with my hygiene right now due to depression and have zero energy to shower most days. I don't even know why I'm thinking about this ugh. I feel like I need to be showered and clean first. I'm guessing dead bodies never have a good smell so should I just not care?
Yes, it made sense when I heard it. Vaguely related, my dentist said the term 'getting a bit long in the tooth' referred to receding gums. Stupidly, I didn't really know what the term meant for years and have been using it. Always pictured rabbits with their constantly growing teeth. Funny what we go on believing for years when it's not actually right. Is that what it is? That's cool. See? Learn something new every day. Thanks for that.
