I've been confused for muslim when I shaved my head, due to my phenotype.
And when I was in the west, everyone thought I was indian.

I have lived in two countries.
Of them, I preffered living among whites.
I'm a shitskin by skin colour only. I was raised by Anglo-Saxxons using Yamato financing.

This is a somewhat analogous situation from my life:

Where I live, crime has gotten wildly out of control in recent years, and one race is responsible for at least 90% of it, despite making up a small percentage of the population. But due to past injustice issues and incredibly high relative prison populations, judges are extremely reluctant to put them away for anything except the absolute worst crimes. This creates a 2 tiered justice system, and means the criminals from that race remain largely unchecked, keeping the town unsafe. As a result, many people develop a hatred for people of that race, particularly those who have been assaulted and robbed numerous times. It even becomes normal parlance in some circles when a crime happens to call it "the usual suspects" and even be wary and snigger about them if you see them walking around.

Recently one of my friends from Uni, who happens to be this race, moved up here. She's never committed a crime in her life to my knowledge and is genuinely lovely. She wasn't here a month before she was walking down the road one day and someone tried to run her over, yelling racial obscenities as they did it. One of the vigilante justice group that is becoming more prevalent. They assumed because she is the same race, she's one of the violent criminals, or at least guilty by association.

She told me this story maybe a month ago and was wondering whether due to her race she would have to move. She doesn't even associate with the people they complain about, her friends here are people like me, and contacts of the same race all live elsewhere, but appearance dictates she gets lumped in with these criminals, and that is increasingly dangerous as the lack of legal action against perpetrators of this race even when caught red handed repeatedly has led to a lack of trust in the justice system and these vigilante groups which primarily pick targets based on race. So she secretly wishes she was a different race and begins to hate others of her race when she feels like they represent her poorly.

You remind me of her with this post, albeit in a different context but similar conclusion. I think it's sad, but I get it. I didn't know what to say to her so I'm not going to be any better here.

What's most frustrating for me to observe is what has happened to the size of these 3 groups over the course of my life.

The ones who want to forgive and ignore all crimes from this race and allow them free after being caught red handed, while exactly the same crime from someone from another race results in a lengthy prison sentence, have gone from maybe 4% of the population in the 80s to about 40% now. And they're the ones in most of the powerful positions.

The ones who now view the entire race as evil/bad in some way, similar I guess to the KKK, has gone from maybe 1% of the population in the 80s to about 10% now. Which I attribute directly to trying to combat the influence of the previous group.

And the sane people in the middle who can see that justice should be applied equally to all but everyone gets the benefit of the doubt regardless of race (or anything else) has gone from maybe 95% of the population in the 80s to maybe 50% now, and they're mostly silent. It's a precipitous, scary decline in sanity and increase in extremists on both sides
