It's genuinely one of the only things I still want to do before leaving. Because, the Earth is so large and full of different cultures and countries, why not go and explore? That's what I like about life, aside from all the pain, there's so much out there to see, so many people to meet still. I'd be sad to leave without having explored a bit.

Who knows, maybe I'd even have such a good experience that I'd change my mind.

But nobody understands, they tell me I should save up for "the future" (house, car, …) which is nonexistent to me.

It sounds crude, but if this were a physical terminal illness, people would encourage me to travel. I wish it was like that instead.

What would be your ideal travel destinations?
As someone from Europe I'd like to see the US, which may be an unpopular opinion. Besides that, China, Thailand, Japan, Ireland, Iceland, Cuba, Australia, Norway, … the list goes on.

Why not!
There's lots of ways to travel on a really small budget and have the best time

And, you don't need to explain or justify yourself to anyone. It's your time, your money and your choice.

Who knows, you could end up illegally overstaying somewhere like I did when I was younger because I forgot to exit life because I was having a meaningful satisfying time working and being social....

Go for it, if you can. Travelling was one of the things that made my life worth living for many years.
There are also ways to travel without a lot of money, if you are prepared to hitchhike and just camp in random places. This is easiest in richer countries like USA, New Zealand, Australia, most European countries. But it works in other regions, too, although in poorer places you should be more careful, especially with sleeping locations. But most poorer countries have a lower cost of living anyway.

If you are from Europe - I heard that it is really nice in Albania. They even have flamingos! Which is crazy because for some reason I thought that those pink birds don't inhabit europe at all. And it is relatively cheap.

Nice! I hadn't considered Albania, good one to add to the list

This was long ago...
I'm from the US. Went to the UK. Settled in Scotland and was an agricultural worker, did some gardening work too

Her Majesty's Customs and Immigration did eventually catch on to me and unceremoniously returned me to the USA...where with $50 to my name I started a new life.

Cheers!

I have the same thought as you, travel before i called it the end. The difficult part for me, i have anxiety issue and fear, which kind of stopping me to explore new destination , trying out new things. My brain just wont allowed me to go outside of the safety zone.

Also, money is an issue as travelling is quite costly nowadays due to the increasing airfare and inflation. Luckily i am in the region of south east asia, it is still quite ok compared to europe, us and elsewhere.
