  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I want to OD on my antidepressants, be found and sent to the psych ward. I know it is crazy, but I just need a f*cking break and anyone that shows me they care. However, I live alone, nobody is going to find me and I'll probably and up puking all day and just adding a horrible experience to my dumb ways to die list…

I understand injuring yourself to better show your mental pain to others and potentially get care and help from them. I partially used self harm for that reason. If you want mental health help, I would suggest not overdose on the antidepressants as thats just going to cause more pain and suffering and just ask them directly. Tho I wouldn't suggest a psyche ward as many become mentally worse cus of it, not better. Try to see if you can get any support that isn't a psyche ward and doesn't require you to have to damage your body like that.

I don't know where you're at in the world but there might be options available if you just talk to mental health services. In the UK I was able to access 'step-up' help where they let me go to a facility for a week, a couple of times, when I was really struggling and just needed out of the environment and life I was in. It was like a week in a facility with other people struggling, no drs or nurses, completely voluntary to be there, but the staff stilll did activities with us and helped us get on top of things that we'd need done to make transition back into our lives better. I had no idea such a service even existed but it was really a great way to turn down the pressure I was feeling. I don't know if this option will exist where you are, but I mean to say that it's worth telling people how you're feeling and seeing what options are available because there could be options you've never even heard of that might be more helpful and not need the OD.

I had a nurse once tell me, it's a lot easier to offer help at the top of the cliff than at the bottom and I think that's advice worth living by.
