Life is completely pointless when you know you'll be alone forever. Over time your soul basically rots and you lose interest in everything and other people, you can't relate at all anymore, can't feel anything but sadness and jealousy and hate. Everything and everyone becomes so irritating you shut yourself away in a dark basement room and spend all your time downing sleeping pills trying to sleep through as much of everyday as possible.
