Help i want a friend so desperately

Every night, I wish I knew someone like me.

It's not that "I'm so crazy, lol, love her" type of person, but I have a very specific trauma that I can't even think about too much. I've never spoken to anyone about it, not even my therapist.

All the things my brain can think about make me ill, along with all the shit that comes with OCD.

Please, I need to talk to someone

The battle between being lonely and being disappointed in people VS wanting to connect and share with someone is real. One thing to be careful about, and I hope that you are... is... being "desperate" for a friend or a connection can lead you to compromise yourself if you aren't self-aware.

I think it's one thing to be willing to put yourself out there and be uncomfortable and willing to be open and risk rejection in order to find a connection... you'll get hurt, probably a lot, but it's unfortunately the only way to have a chance to connect... BUT... don't let all that push you to a point where you compromise yourself or your needs or values in order to get a "friend." Being in a bad relationship or having a fake friend is often much worse than the loneliness.

We must have a few things in common unfortunately.... i also struggled with very severe ocd throughout my teens and I am being medicated for it, and i also dont have any friends either. I moved from country to country all my life also because of my parents and i never got a chance to make friends and settle down somewhere. I have no one, infact ive had to stay at my grandparents in the middle of nowhere for the past year. Havent talked to or seen anyone, its so lonely. You know somewhere out there is a friend or someone for you, i hope you find them someday. Atleast the light or well lightness in darkness in this is that you should know your not the only person and somone else shares similair feelings and pain as you do on this earth. Even if you never meet them just know your not alone in that sense i find that sort of mindset might help with giving a little comfort i guess.
