Some people at least should gather and protest for the right to access N or another peaceful/secure alternative.
Like when many protested for the 40 hours work week/workers right or "democracy", etc.
Or at least there should be a real secret/underground movement that gives access to euthanasia for people who are interested into that.

the problem is most people are against assisted dying for anyone without a terminal illness so making a birth right for anyone would be very hard to achive, also most people don't consider suicide as a option into something terrible happens to them and by then its too late to do anything about it

As much as i think suicide is a right (given the person is in a stable mindset), i don't think there's an appetite in the general populous for pro choice arguments, i wouldn't be surprised if it turned violent against the protesters even.

you are right. But the majority were against Women suffrage or abolishment of slavery. But the minority did still succeed.

I'm not sure if you can compare them, both are defending well-being and freedom to achieve a better life...and we want the opposite. Yes the shared goal is to avoid suffering but suicide goes against religions, against "our nature of surviving" (bla bla bla), against people's selfish wishes to keep us in their lives despite the pain, against their hope of a magical cure or solution.

Most people are against assisted dieing already when someone is terminally ill then how could assisted dieng be "legalalized" for someone like myself who just wantw to exit this world because if terrible expectancees of the personal future?

Yes I fully agrre suicide is a human right for whether personal reason that may be! anything else causes only more torture, harm, agony and suffering.

I fucking hate this world let us have the damn right fuck pro lifers all of them
I disagree with pro lifers but saying you hate them all is a bit harsh, most genuinely have good intentions, they are just misguided by shallow understanding of the topic

Yes, to me it's criminal how there is a lack of acceptance towards the right to die, it's inhumane how we cannot just free ourselves from this world in peace, the right to die is compassionate as allowing it means relief and escape from suffering, it's really disgusting how so many want to force other people to suffer, pro-lifers just cause harm.

But I think if there was protests it would sadly very likely lead to people being so cruelly locked in psych wards by people unable to accept that nobody is obligated to continue existing here.

Like in Call Jane where they provided abortions? If that's ever set up please pm a way to get in touch. Tired of waiting for a partner already though so will hopefully have already caught the bus. Ha ha.

I am with you on this and for as long as I can be here, I am willing to discuss the possibilities and strategize.

Tho the arguments against doing it are practical, it's still very much worth fighting for. Social progress only occurs when people dream it and make it happen.

The idea of peaceful death (for anyone) is a modern innovation directly connected to 20th C medical advancements. Hospice care has only existed since the 1950s. As a relatively new idea, there is much room to expand the general understanding of what it means to die with dignity.

It's well known to psychiatrists (and others in the field) that depression is the only mental illness that can be terminal. I think people beyond this community need to learn to accept the idea that death can be a balm for the terminally depressed as much as it is for those with a terminal physical illness.

I agree 100%. If you know about such groups or protests, let us know. I hope we are able to achieve this as a society someday.

Would love to join. Even if this forum gains popularity we are moving in a good direction.
