About a year ago I learned I had a lot of health problems. I have a very damaged esophagus, ulcers on my diaphragm, and a hiatal hernia. Last weekend I was diagnosed as also having gallstones, fatty liver disease, and my liver has cysts near it as well.

Currently I have great insurance, but I also started a new job, and when I am entitled to benefits next month, my health insurance will have to change to Kaiser. I don't want to go there because I've had friends who've had very bad experiences with them, and I hope to ctb before that change.

I have everything I need except an antiemetic, so I think I'm going to tell my doctor that after getting the diagnosis about all those other problems, that I've been throwing up a lot. Lying isn't easy for me to do but I think if I get myself to partly believe it, that I can make it work, and get an antiemetic prescribed. Wish me luck.🤞

Thanks! I was going to call my doctor today, but I lost my nerve. Also I'm not sure exactly how to ask him.

I even had a stress dream about asking him last night where he referred me to another doctor when I asked him. And in my dream I went to that doctor and there was this long line of old people I had to wait in, and the waiting lasted all night, and I finally went home in the morning without ever getting to ask that doctor. Crazy!🤣

Man this really is tough for you and I completely relate.

For me I researched migraines for a day and basically made up a fake timeline/backstory with complete list of symptoms and even some descriptors I wanted to use. I felt like an actor preparing for a role. Needless to say I am not sure where you live but I used this with two tele med appointments and was able to get meto from both doctors, one was from an online doctors website and another from a walk in clinic phone number.
Anyways, I was way too afraid to call my family doctor or book a real appointment, I made an effort to pick busy doctors that would in any other scenario be giving me bad medical care by not asking many questions and handing me drugs. So I understand the anxiety, especially because I am a terrible liar.

Anyways, hopefully you are able to do the same to make it more approachable of a task. :, )

That's a great idea! I had been planning on asking my regular doctor. Of course now I'm not sure how to go about seeing a new doctor. I don't know where I would go.

Hopefully there are some walk-in clinics or online services you can use?

We have some Urgent Care facilities I could go to on a weekend. Wondering if it would be suspicious if I just said I was vomiting a lot, or to give migraine symptoms.🤔 I guess I'll study up on migraines for a while.
Hopefully there are some walk-in clinics or online services you can use?
I'm starting to read up on migraines, but in case I go the just plain throwing up bit, here's what I planned to say:

I started having problems vomiting
Recently. I'm not sure but I think it's because I'm stressed out. I know I have to change my health insurance soon and I don't want to. I know that with Kaiser I won't get the treatment I need, and it's upsetting me.
Anyway if I can get something that'll stop the vomiting I'd appreciate it.

Thoughts?

They're more likely to suggest anti anxiety meds for that. You can say you've been stressed (without going into detail) and say you have intense migraines that come and go but when they come they bring extreme nausia ans vomiting. You should say your stomach health is usually fine. It's only when thw migraine hits that the nausia and vomiting occur.

Say you were prescribed meto for this issue once when you were on holiday and found it very helpful. Its something that is only occasional and you thought you'd probably never experience it again so never discussed it with your doctor. Now you really need it but can't get an appointment for a few days.

That's if you go with an online doctor or walk in center.

If you go ro youe doctor it's all the same apart from the obvious bit about nor being able to get an appointment.

Take some Ipecac when your at the doctor's office and throw up on him/her. That should seal the deal.

That's a thought. Not sure I want to go that route though.
