Here in the 3rd world, engineering graduates are likely to be unemployed unless they have a government job. I have an engineering degree and I can't find a job. I wish I had studied nursing in college. Nurses have job security no matter where you go around the world.
studying nursing rn but it's weird - shortages aren't necessarily from a lack of people available (there are so many people studying for it) but just other factors (burnout, etc). a lot of students struggle to secure grad year programs so it's not so cut and dry, at least where i am
employment opportunities in most sectors is fucked though and it's just getting worse
