No but seriously, the world and everyone around me is so anti suicide it's so annoying. "You have so much to live for" "Keep trying." "Things get better." "Committing is not the way" SHHHHHHH. You're literally not talking me out of this. Being in a space where I can not only be free with my thoughts, but also read posts from others relating and not pushing me to seek help is so relieving.

Im so used to people trying to talk me out of my current mindset that sometimes when I post darker thoughts I expect people to tell me to seek help LMAO. But no! That's not how it works here and I love it so much. I feel less alone about everything when I come online here, it's like a breath of fresh air. Genuinely. I just wanted to drop this off, i've been thinking about this for a little bit.

for me this place IS the 'help.' it helps so much to clear my head. doesn't make suicide this terrifying and lonely action, but also helps me view my living situation objectively and make a rational decision rather than an emotional one. the support is just endless and there's no judging, no matter what you decide. no taboos, no infantilizing, no social media status mechanisms like karma/followers/upvotes/'likes' in the traditional sense. it feels like true anonymity and safety which i can't say for any other platform trying to make a space like this one.

im grateful for it too, it makes me less afraid, it stopped me from doing a method that might have messed me up (jumping). I hate all the negative stuff i see about this site its the only place i feel safe and understood...it makes me less afraid

I love it too. It's a miracle for me that this site exists as there's so much misinformation about suicide out there and I'd probably keep doing overdoses if I didn't know any better.

I love how the nitty gritty details of suicide are talked about here but also I think it gave me imposter syndrome cause I see people like full on venting on this forum and like I feel like I'm not fucked in the head enough to warrant taking up electricity being here but then again I was laughing at videos of pedophiles getting set on fire at 1 am a few days ago so maybe this is the best place for me...

In actual reality, what percentage of people out there in the real world, do you think secretly have these suicidal thoughts (or similar thoughts) but keep it privately to themselves, and never share it with others, because don't want to be judged?

For example, out of every 10 people, how many people you estimate probably also have these similar thoughts and feelings?

I think about 50 percent of the country is passively suicidal lol.
