  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Two days ago I went under for cosmetic surgery. I've been under anesthesia 4 times in the past 5 years (dental, cosmetic).

I'm always amazed at how fast it goes. Usually they give me a warning like count down from 5 but this time, no warning. I was talking to the doc before going under and then I woke up to a nurse calling my name 2 hours later. Felt like a second.

I was really hoping I wouldn't wake up.

I really need to find N

I remember being anesthesia once and it was so sweet, it's a shame that N is no longer available, i remember feeling so good and faint instantly.

There's a dude who used to do the AA events circuit (God forgive me, I can't think of his name) - he'd qualify or workshop, and was always incredibly funny and very, very insightful. He was in recovery for everything - probably drank motor oil and injected brake fluid. Anyhoo, when describing how much he loved being high and how much he missed it he used to say "You know what I love? I love 99" and proceeded to profess his adoration for general anesthesia. 99 in the "count back from 100" process marked the moment of the perfect high. I have to say I couldn't agree more - 99 is the bomb.

Unfortunately, in a medical setting it is hard to expire, as they are trained and have the technology to save your butt, stat!

I have never been under anesthesia before, but it does sound so wonderful to me not being able to experience anything at all, the only negative thing about it is that it's not permanent nothingness. Temporary nonexistence could never be enough for me.
But that is what I believe death to be like, the absence of everything with not even the awareness that we are dead, we simply won't exist and this thought is incredibly comforting. Being conscious and having to experience things will inevitably lead to more suffering which to me is something negative and something to be avoided.

It's true, I was extremely disappointed when I woke up. It's like waking up every morning and being angry that your body still wants to be alive.

OHHH yes, I know this feeling. I am a scaredy cat and so unbearably tense before operations. But gosh, when the anesthasia starts everything relaxes and I can let go of all, even me. Like deep sleep - peace, rest like home

Before being suicidal I was never scared of operations because I trust doctors. Now being suicidal I'm not scared because I want them to fail. I wish it was easier
