About four years ago, I was really into playing the game Roblox and I was a really well-known game developer at the time. I met this player who was about the same age as me and we talked and called a lot on Discord almost every day. My friend and I would always play Roblox games and have fun. Just last week, I experienced this terrible moment with him, and I still cannot understand why. I know many of you people out there don't know all about Roblox but I will try my best to make this not confusing so you understand.
One night, my best friend and I and his other friends were on a Discord group call having fun like usual, and since I like to be funny, I told my best friend to accept a Roblox trade that I sent to him. He has this in-game avatar hat that was his favorite and his dream item that he spent a lot of hard work to get it and just as a joke, I sent him a trade request to give him his dream item to me over a small item that's basically worth nothing. And I said to him hey I sent you a trade request on your Roblox and you should accept it really quick and don't look at it. And after I said that, he pulled it up to see the trade request anyways, and right away he said "Dude really that's not funny" and I was laughing thinking it was funny and knowing he would too and I did told him even if he accepted it that I would send it back.
But then out of the unexpected, he immediately kicked me out of the Discord group and called me a scammer and I told him What no no no it was just a joke I wasn't going to steal your item and I told him even if he did I would send it back to him, but he got very angry at this and was overreacting and after apologizing to him like ten times and that it really bothered him so much that I won't do it again, he blocked me and told his friends to block me too. Now my best friend hates me just for doing that when it was nothing at all.
We knew each other for four years and there were times we had done a trade like this before and I always gave him back what we wanted so we knew we were trustworthy and best friends. I'm very sad right now and was sobbing in my bed the day after it happened because I have no one to talk to anymore and this was my only best friend I had ever and him always calling me every day to play Roblox always made me excited and happy since we would be playing for hours and hours. I cannot understand what happened and this wasn't my fault, all I was trying to do was play a little joke on him and it all went into this! I'm fucking upset right now. That's why I'm here to get help because I never told him I was suicidal, but it seems like a curse is on me that since he's gone now that it seems like the world doesn't want me anymore and I don't know what will happen next.
