Yeah, this is just me talking, not me really being super serious but building myself a self usable guillotine and using that to take myself out seems nice. One clean chop and I'm done for.

if you have a place to build it without raising suspicions and skills necessary to do so - i think it's a very good idea. Contrary to popular SN or inert gas methods. this one can be thoroughly tested before actual use.

somewhat true but let's be honest. Body identification will always be trauamizing experience for family members, even if they hate you now. That's typical reaction for humans exposed to a dead body. First responders are unavoidable "casualty" as they always show up, no matter if you decide to blow your head off with a gun, splat yourself using train, truck or height, puke on everything while SN'ing or shit all over the place while hanging or suffocating with inert gas. So, i'd say, let's stay selfish in this matter and choose CTB method most comfortable for us, not for others. If you want to put yourself in the body bag to prevent "splash damage" (i intend to do so) - that's fine. But making others comfy at this moment is not necessarily a priority. Not for me at least.

its pretty horrifying to see a decapitated head. theres reports on people who've made their own guillotines and used it on themselves. theres a case on a man who did this, he was building it for weeks but from the report it seems like nobody really came to see it before anything happened until after it got used.

machine, but replaced it with a knife. So it's just like an automatic self-stabbing thing I guess. I don't even own one of those myself, but I've heard about it and of course, the first thing that came to my mind was a possible method.

Seems like more of a non-method tho. If you could somehow get the knife handle to fit, it could work.

How about this idea....A private Island, a a modified floating platform/boat/yacht, whatever located in International Waters (>100 miles from Coastline of Nation/State). Can use a Sarco like device, or even this Barbaric method. Possibly candy store (WillyWonker) full of Death Wishes. So many flavors to choose from. Obviously costs still play a part in how one departs...but imo most everybody ends up in ocean. Could solar power and battery storage enough for a cremation oven for those requests to be met. No, its not a Gilligan's Island, nor is it a Epstein Ialand of Abuse. It's CTB Island...where Express Personal Deliveries are met 100% of the time.
What are some of your thoughts, is this realistic enough to become a reality, or is it a pipe dream?

Are you saying an island where people go to off themselves? Uh unfortunately that would be impossible since many don't believe it's a human right to die... also there would be a ton of legal issues with that so it's sadly a pipe dream. Still the idea would make a good book I think. It could offer more than cremation services too, there's also things like natural deaths, sky burials, cryogenics, thrown into the sea...

And me personally, I want to die in nature. I want to off myself deep in the Appalachian wilderness. I'm lucky that I live near the foothills of the mountain range but alas getting up there would be an issue for me in this current state. Then for burial I think I would like to have weighs added to me and be thrown into the sea or left to rot and return to nature, letting all the animals feast on me and decompose me :)

Ok now I might be serious about the idea, so that's 3 methods down. hanging, train decapitation, or guillotine. Hanging honestly seems like the worst one imo. Anyways I think I'll work towards getting all the parts I need to build a prototype guillotine before I move onto the real deal.

What ? I never heard of that, how is it possible ? If everything is cut, your carotid, jugular and blood supplies are you still conscious ?
Back in time guillotine was considered a humanitarian way of execution. Pretty quick. Except when the blade wasn't sharp enough and the executioner had to drop the guillotine several times.
