I really hope death is not the end and that somehow sometime, I will get to see my dad again.

I hope so too. I hope there's peace in the afterlife. I hope people can reunite with their loved ones. I have certain beliefs myself. But those are for another time. In another thread.

I didn't really want to bring it up because it goes against what you want. But yeah, I don't really believe in the afterlife. Human beings are just another rung of evolution on this planet.

I actually do think each person is special and unique. Good or bad, each one is a singular individual with unique traits and there will never be another one exactly like them.

That being said, there are billions of us that exist right now and billions that have died already and humanity as a collective isn't really anything special in my opinion.I have a more logical perspective about this stuff in a sense. And I can't help it. I feel it's good to have hope about religion and an afterlife, but it just doesn't cut it for me.

Honestly I don't know what I hope. Sometimes I hope we just go back into the void. But if I could live in an afterlife where I don't have depression anymore, then I'd be ok with an afterlife. But living like this? Forever? Hard pass.
