Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

For context, I live in minnesota and from what I understand I can purchase a shotgun without a license. I plan to have it as a simple way out when that time comes but im worried ill be asked my reason for buying a shotgun. Is there a good reason I could have without raising concerns or being asked too many questions?
You mean the store asking you why you want to purchase a shotgun? Or, any gun for that matter.
They don't ask that.
It's a simple process. You select gun you want. You fill out and pass NICS background check. You pay for firearm. You leave store with firearm. As long aa you can pass background check and give them money, that's all they care about.

I'm literally sitting outside the sporting goods store working up courage to buy the gun. For some reason there's another youngish man in the parked car next to me. I fear I'll look suspicious (no one cares). I fear I'll be suspicious in the store (no one cares).
This might be a dry run. Yay, I got the courage to drive to a parking lot. It would be more sus to be "just looking" for shotguns, right?
If you really got to have a reason ready to go in your mind, tell them you're looking for a 12ga shotgun for home defense, just like the other member recommended a few posts up. It's an entirely legitimate reason, not that you actually need a reason, but legitimate, nonetheless.
