The mods keep removing anything that could help. Even posts asking for help get removed due to "breaking the rules". How the hell am I supposed to talk to people who understand my struggles?

I use that subreddit on occasion, I think it's the automod

Though if its asking for methods or for any information aiding in suicide they do have to take it down else the entire subreddit gets taken down... Blame Reddit admins for the state of the site.

true, the censorship over there is insane (but it could also be automod, as arb says). not to mention the amount of, no offense, notso-knowledgable folks who believe chugging a handful of pills will guarantee them a painless death, most of whom i'm sure are minors. i know i'm practically a child on this site, but the amount of folks i've lectured on r/suicidewatch before i got tired of it..... 🫠

it's also littered with lurking pro-lifers who come out of their shed once someone's about to ctb. the amount of empty platitudes i saw on there was pretty gross to witness. i once got harassed by a bunch of pro-lifers in my dms 'warning' me of 'encouraging' suicide when i lectured this young girl that chugging a bottle of tylenol wasn't going to do anything other than potentially damage her liver. stopped visiting that site not long after i joined, and moved here instead

Lol I got banned from there because I shared a dream I had where my parents wanted me to live. So there's definitely some manual mods because typically, they just remove the post. Before that, I got banned for talking about a hypothetical suicide scenario.

Also, I don't think you're missing out that much. The posts that get traction there are more generally relatable. Your post is more likely to get buried under the amount of vent posts.

Just keep posting on this site, pretty sure you only need a few posts (like 20 or so?) to unlock those features.

Yeah, it does seem to be automod. Still, It's pretty weird that I have to wait half an hour in order to get support on suicidal tendencies

True, I never posted a lot, but usually it was filled with replies saying everything was gonna get better. I haven't discussed methods their, but judging by the responses I don't think it would help me at all.

I got banned from the sub just cus I made about discouraging others not to try to overdose on pills.

I told them that they will only damage themselves and will end up in a psych ward.

Didn't encourage them and didn't tell them to find better methods or something.

My hypothesis is that the people running that sub, do want these kids, cus most of them are kids, to overdose in pills, so they can end up in a psych ward or something.

I sometimes DM people posting on that subreddit and direct them to SaSu so they can find working suicide methods instead of that useless overdose bullshit.

Reddit is pretty strongly censored these days and under the public eye, so doesn't want to do anything that gets them in legal trouble. Shitty, but it is how it is.

Reddit is cucked, stick to here instead. I got banned from r/SuicideWatch (and eventually the entirety of Reddit) for being "pro-suicide", and even then they didn't specify exactly what I wrote to warrant a ban. Got my entire account permabanned for saying the Wrong Thing™ in a PM with another user. Yeah, in private. Not even in a public discussion. One single slip up and I'm banned forever. No mercy, no chance to redeem myself. All because I'm not a le heckin' wholesome big chungus 100 plebbitor who won't accept my wife's boyfriend buying me a Nintendo Switch so I can post a picture of myself soyfacing and farming 1000 updoots for it. Whole site sucks. Absolutely beyond cucked.

I occasionally visited this subreddit by chance, not writing anything. Didn't gained anything useful though.

Reddit censorship is quite strong and that's why I am not using it much. Although I have account cause reddit blocking access with proxy/VPN of any kind. (!)

I am glad that places like SaSu exists.

With big brother always watching. It's hard to chat privately. it's almost like you have to use anonymous chat over tor to discuss private matters. That's the most private chat method I found. There's very little that's private out there. Then they have to protect this site we all know that. If you have friends on text you can use anonymous messenger by Liberty for all. That would be the most private one I found. Everything over the tor network. What were you struggling with.

That's the one I would prefer for private chat. It's for text messages though.

You got warned? I got banned. Apparently they are not ok with people dying from an OD, just liver failure.
I really don't understand why they're so against personal conversations, you'd think they would actually try to help people who are at rock bottom
Well, most of the people there are vulnerable minors so lots of predators there like to offer DMs and then things get gross. I honestly do not blame them on that one.
