I hate holidays. I don't mean what they stand for, because I do appreciate what most holidays are for, at their authentic roots as seen at the time of their origination. I hate the day off work, the change in routine, the general hype and hysteria, the expectation to do something fun. There is absolutely nothing I want to do for "fun". So I'm doing online courses about things related to work, because I'm always anxious that I'm not good enough and don't know enough. When I'm tired of sitting, I do a few chores around the house. Killing time today. No interest whatsoever in fireworks. I'll go to bed early like usual and sleep right through it all. I used to care more, look forward to time off, be anxious at going back to work, try to do something. It's nice to not care anymore.
