To make a long story short: I've been having vertigo along with a plethora of other horrible symptoms since last spring. Seen many doctors and getting an MRI&MRA soon. Possible migraines.

So, I had gone over a month without vertigo until tonight. It was terrible. Usually it's only a few seconds and goes away if I lay down but it lasted almost 5 minutes of intense spinning. I couldn't get up, I couldn't open my eyes. I felt so sick. Now my head is killing me. And this may be TMI but it happened when I was...enjoying myself (if u know what i mean)...which is like a horrible curse. I can't even feel pleasure in this fucking life and I've researched a lot and vertigo during/after sex is VERY VERY uncommon so what are the odds that it'd happen to me?! I'm so unlucky it's like the universe is throwing every sign at me to just end it all.

I'm hoping they'll find some inoperable tumor so that I don't have to be the one to end my life but there's about a .00000000001% chance of that happening.

Vertigo is awful, and any neurological thing they can't find a reason for becomes migraines. All my neurological fun is labeled complex migraine aura with silent migraines. Do talk to neurologist though so you can try the like 50 meds they'll offer. Hopefully one of them helps you.

I'm so sorry you have this. I can't imagine it for five minutes. I had a brief episode this morning and get it intensely sometimes but just for a minute usually. Mine is vertigo and I have to grab the edges of the bed and try not to scream while it happens. It's so frustrating. I'm glad you will be getting an MRI. I hope it's just ear crystals moving out of place. Please let us know the results of the tests.

Mine isn't spinning, it's not knowing which way is up, down or where I am in relation to the rest of the room. It feels like I'm suddenly upside down and the bed I'm on is tipped over and floating. I hope yours isn't that kind.

That's a very tough situation to be in.

I'm sorry you have those symptoms.
