I'm in a little pain but I'm so goddamn happy!
oh boy the first week after the surgery was an absolute horror (physical pain wise)

the post op Binder was reeeeaaaaallly uncomfortable, I'm still wearing it but it's less tight now so it's better
also when I took it off without a doctor for the first time to take a shower it was awful! I felt like my chest was gonna fall apart!
changing my clothes was kinda hard, the Tube of my drain got Stuck in a drawer, I couldn't lift my upper arms,etc...

im not sure if that was better or worse than freshly coming out of surgery. I had hypothermia and was shivering like crazy but I didn't really feel cold because I was still under the influence of anesthesia. The bad part came afterwards, I started feeling pain again but I was told they couldn't give me any painkillers yet because I just came out of surgery.
so anyway the pain gets really bad, i start crying at some point, I finally get some painkillers (I don't know what it was but it felt like the good shit) and not even 20 minutes later I'm feeling great

it was an unpleasant experience but i got the result i wanted

they even asked me if I wanted to keep the removed boobs which I thought was kinda funny

Ok but the real question is... Did you keep the moobs? Were they offered to you as bloody beige water balloons? My mental imagery here is hilarious imo and I need answers XD.

No I didn't keep them. they just put them in two separate trashbags (black but see thru) and left them in the bathroom in case I want to see them when I get up. surprisingly there was barely any blood and you could really see the fat tissue

I'm so happy for you, friend! I did the teat yeet a few years ago. Still one of the best decisions I ever made, but if you're prone to depression, you might want to watch out for some of the opioid pain meds. OxyContin shredded my natural endorphin system, which honestly always sucked anyway. I spent like 3 years in the worst depression of my life. True, some of that was covid, and Trump, and the fucking insanity that ensued, but even still, Oxy kicked my ass.

It's a hard choice to have to make. My scars go 2/3rds of the way around my (substantial) body. They removed 10 lbs of tissue, and they still couldn't get it all. So the pain was real enough. But so was 3 years of praying for death to a God I don't even think is there.

I don't mean to be a buzzkill. I just wish someone had given me a heads-up, so I could have prepared better.

Incidentally, I also got a card with a picture of a pirate-style box full of treasure on it. Inside, the card said: "Congratulations on your new chest."

I laughed until I died, I tell you.

I AM NOW LITERALLY DEAD.

I'm going to sit over here & decompose.

P.S., congratulations on your new chest.
