Poor child, you messed up and that is okay. Just give it some time for now, time will let him heal, so just give him some space for now. You don't need to prove you love him, just tell him you are truly sorry, it's the best you can do. Just give space for you and him as it will allow for both of you to heal, and after a few days ask to talk. Talk to eachother with respect, and do your best.
