Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

My then-roommate had called the SPCA and falsely claimed that I was abusing my cat, she wanted them to take her away. I couldn't handle that. I broke.

I took hundreds of Gabapentin and Seroquel pills. I left home and went to the waterfront, intending to jump in the water [I can't swim] and pass out. I had collapsed and passed out close to the water, but didn't quite make it there. Someone found me and called 911.

I woke up days later in the ICU. I had a trach tube in, several IVs, a catheter.

I have memory problems from the meds that I'm on and I had forgotten all about this.

It sounds really awful what you've been through, and finding out about that again must be horrible. Hope you're okay, did you get to keep your cat?

I did, yes. I had her for several more years until she died, had a stroke at almost 20yo. I had her for over half my life at the time she died.

Your former roommate is pure evil and deserves to rot. A pet is someone's most precious friend for your roomate to attempt break that is pure cruelty.

Suicide and water can be very very dangerous it is a miracle you didn't suffer any permanent brain damage and paralyisis of the legs . Lack of oxygen from the drowning as well as the falling can cause permant brain damage. When I mean brain damage in this context I mean vegetative state.

I hate how people put such fear and terror and play games with other people's lives and emotions.
