I feel like im being forced by my psychiatrist to talk about why im suicidal. They dont give me time to talk about it when im ready. Ive barely worked with him for a month. I know that they dont have bad intentions but if i dont talk and suddenly stopped going to therapy will i get in trouble even tho im over 18?
Okay, so it sounds like they are "somehow" aware of the fact that you ARE suicidal. How did that happen?
I'm pretty sure that you can NOT get in legal trouble, but I don't know the whole picture. How are you able to see the psychiatrist and therapist? Are you on your own insurance? Or are you on your parents' insurance and they are somehow making you go? I mean, there can be troubling consequences dealt out to you by other people in your life (for example kicked out of where you live?), and that is different from getting into legal trouble or hospitalized.
Given your entire very challenging and sad situation, it seems as though the person would be able to figure it out but needs for you to say it out loud for some reason. The saying it out loud seems from the outside like a small thing but sometimes feels HUGE and impossible when it is your own personal thing and a thing that brings shame and hurt. [Speaking for myself, here.]
