I did have a very brief dalliance, perhaps 2 years ago, with the idea of undertaking the necessary study to become a veterinary nurse, primarily to get access to N. Laziness of course prevailed, because that's really playing the very unnecessarily long game. Not to mention that going back to study would probably be what killed me, rather than the access to the N itself. I did always wonder, though, what suicide rates were amongst vets compared to other professions, and what percentage of those suicides would have been from N. I don't think there's really anyone tracking that, of course, but it would have been interesting to know, I guess. Being a vet is in itself likely to be a horrifically depressing job. Seeing so many sick and suffering animals every single day … It's really for the best that I never made any attempt to actually apply for vet nursing study. My heart would be more broken than it already is.
