I dreamed that I had a mental breakdown, and that a former classmate who I was with (who is also pro-choice of suicide, but sadly fictional in this case as a result of just being a nightly dream) called a psychiatrist for me. The psychiatrist hugged me, I calmed down and, despite some paranoia about being institutionalized, I knew this mental health professional specializes in suicidal patients, but supports their right to ctb if ever, so I knew he wouldn't rat on me and send me to a closed psych ward just for being honest in my feelings about ctb.

I felt at peace, and it actually majorly calmed my suicidal ideation and urges in the dream after meeting him. I even woke up to reality from the dream somewhat calmer than usual.

If this dream reflects a potential reality which we could create, and I think it does, I think it will ironically help more to prevent suicide than any of the prohibitionist approaches most societies and medical fields use currently. Certainly, a lot of the stuff I have seen in places like here has helped me put off ctb more than any of the stuff I have heard in mainstream media.

I just wanted to share this somewhat impacting dream I had with you guys.

This sounds like a really good dream and such. Of course, if there were ever a reality that was like the one presented in your dream, I agree, it would certainly prevent more (impulsive) CTBs than the current system that we have in present day reality. The one we have in present day only pushes genuinely suicidal people underground (afraid of opening up due to the mentioned repercussions) and not having an real outlet, leading to more CTB attempts (with many ending in failure and some succeeding but brutally and damaging for everyone).
