I don't want to be called a victim

You've seen it. "Suicide Victim". It doesn't make sense, at least not when referring to the person committing it. The definition of victim just means someone that died or got hurt for whatever reason but, in media, a victim is someone that didn't want it to happen or didn't deserve it.

I do deserve to die, and I want it to happen. I didn't deserve what has happened to lead up to this, but it happened. Now, life is just a prison. In constant pain, and heartache, should I be forced to live this way? No.

I will not be a victim of suicide, I will be set free by it.

Lol, I can't honestly say I'd enjoy it, but it's my only option unless there's an exact clone of my wife somewhere on this forum that wants to be with me

I've never seen myself or any of those posting on here. Indeed I regard us as some of the most intelligent people with more clarity of thought than you see in general society. To have examined ourselves and the influences around us makes us the minority. To be on here we have all stepped outside of the common place - we haven't been prepared to be sheeple. To have considered seriously the ultimate and go have thought about mortality means NONE of us are victims. Frankly I have read more common sense items on this website than anywhere else. Never have I met such thoughtful considered humans. Now if society was all peoples by you guys this site might almost be in my world sanctioned life!! I cannot begin to express how much reading your posts has helped me and made me feel "normal' - thank you

I think the term 'victim' is likely to be used by pro lifers who see suicide as tragic, as something that could have been prevented. They are not suicidal themselves so they will never be able to comprehend what it is like. Instead, we are victims of this life, forced here without choice. For me suicide is not tragic, suicide is a ending to all suffering. In death there is true peace that cannot be achieved in life.
