I feel the opposite. I don't think love really exists. It's just some sort of instinct to preserve our species. A mother loves her child because that child is carrying her DNA and genetics. It's an instinct to preserve the mother's own genetics. Falling in love with someone is because you believe they are perfect to procreate with etc. It all ties down to the fact that we don't have any other purpose in life other than to continue the human species. Our brains became so developed that we now have the capacity to question what other purposes we have. Because we simply believe we are too great to be here for that one simple task. We're not.
