to commit suicide you need 2 things, intent and capacity. i really believe i don't have the capacity and i don't think i ever will. i went to the top of my building today and stood there for 30 min trying to get the courage. i was terrified and i said to myself "i can never do this." as soon as i went back down i felt ashamed of myself. i'll never be able to actually end my stupid life and suffering.

There is absolutely no shame in that. I would never be able to jump myself. I think it's one of the scariest ways to die. I'm amazed how some people manage it. Never feel ashamed for being afraid to ctb. The vast majority of us are.

I can relate. I, too, have a fear of heights. I also don't have the guts to pull the trigger on a shotgun. Some people are just really brave about it I guess.

Jumping from a height to CTB would never be possible for me either. I am afraid of heights and would be way too terrified. The however-many seconds of free falling is the scariest part about it IMO.

I understand how you feel. Suicide is very difficult after all, as we are programmed to survive, the survival instinct is determined to keep us suffering. Nobody should have to resort to methods like jumping anyway, we all deserve the option of a peaceful exit at a time of our own choosing. I know it is like feeling trapped when you want to ctb, but you are unable to go through with it, it can be a dreadful feeling. More than anything I wish it was easier to leave. I'm sorry you are going through this. Whatever happens, I wish you the best.

From what I've read jumping is definitely not an easy way to go and many try but are unable to go through with it.
I understand your frustration though, I'm right there with you. It's horrible how we're put into this world, full of suffering for some of us, and are often unable to leave, or under great difficulty, if we're lucky. Because rest assured, suicide is never easy.
