Venting I don't look sick enough

My family and friends just basically invalidate my mental health and I feel like it's because i don't look "sick" physically. Nobody will ever understand me and Im sick of it. How much do i have to ruin myself physically so people can actually give a fuck about me. I have narcissistic parents so of course they are going to invalidate me but it takes such a toll on me i don't think i can do this anymore,

"You're normal." I cut mjyself, i self-loathe every single day, im negative and almost never happy..how is that "normal" to u oh my god. it's so confusing. nobody even bats an eye if you are mentally declining but physically normal i hate it

You don't have to look physically ill to be mentally ill. It's called being "mentally ill" for a reason. People just ignore the issues until it's too late... I'm sorry you're going through that
