Venting I couldn't even get a gas station job.

The local gas station was hiring, and after not working for about 2 years I decided to apply. The problem was, that they had a virtual "interview" where I had to record my responses. But I had limited re-records and I kept fumbling my words, depleting all my re-recordings. Couple that with the website glitching out, it all went to total hell in a handbasket.

For fuck's sake, I can do the damn job but can't get past these damn interviews. It's so bullshit how you have to be so fake and jump through hoop after hoop when you need an income to survive. I wouldn't be surprised if they were made specifically to weed out autistic people. But with no job prospects, the fuck else am I supposed to do? I mean goddamn you people won't even let me die, just force me to live in poverty until old age takes me.

Addendum: Tbh, at this point I'm thinking about re-applying to my old retail job, since that seems to be my only option at this point.

but i wouldn't want a job where i have to record myself

just proves how unprofessional and lazy they are

bc normally an actual job interview would find place irl rather than have you talk to a camera

then again, it's a freaking job at a gas station. i'm sure whoever is responsible for the interviews can take a moment of his time for a couple conversations irl

I get that I have a college degree, some work experience, was in medical school president of the oncology research group.... Can't get even basic jobs like sandwich artist at Jimmy Johns. No criminal record or anything like that. Even the job placements specialist lady doesn't give a fuck about me.

I only started applying again today. For about a year I tried to make an income as an erotica writer. But it didn't pan out for me, even when I got so invested I became kinda delusional about it.
