I continue to fight for the problems of suicidal people

It's amazing that the zealotry of fixthe26 focuses entirely on a website forum and the moderators. The organization will never even state that the current mental health system is failing millions. Those millions of views here... They are occurring because of a complete lack of hope and mental health support. I've been there. I was at their site trying to be part of their conversation and they directly told me I was wrong, sick and needed to contact someone for help.

That's the mantra of the emotional crusade and this mantra is what directly leads to youth suicide. The youth and adults are telling you:

THE HOTLINES AND COGNITIVE AND MEDICINE ARE NOT WORKING

your sad response is "you must have something wrong and you need more of the above.

Your view is the same as telling breast cancer patients "stop complaining, we have pink fun runs, let's do another one of those"

You are terrible people and I saved the screenshots of you telling me "I must have something wrong"

You never quote my statistics, you never focus on the problems that are faced. Only repeating the demagogue related diatribe of "death cult" or "incel" because it evokes a visceral response.

I'm speaking to the exact same representatives letting them know you and your ilk do not care about the rising numbers of suicides and treatment resistant suicide at all in their districts and states.

I do it every day and I do it from my college office on my University stationary and I make sure to let them know what sad individuals you are with your message.

Feel free to quote me and tell me to go call the hotline.

I've called them twice. It didn't do anything for me, other than referring me to some mental emergency place I can't go to without insurance.
There are many of us. So many more than we see on here.
I don't understand the stigma of suicide.
It's ok to have all kinds of things going on, but ending your life by your own choice? Pfffffft la la la la la.
Not saying abortion is good or bad, that's a unique choice to make, but it's ok to abort someone else's life, not your own?
I'd love to get the message out that it's no one's business, except the person's who decides for themselves.

My heart goes to you. For many reasons.

I admire your persistence.

I have tried and tried ... in real life and over the net. I described my experiences in some of my posts. Including what happened more recently.

The net sum of it all is that I have been shunned to the point of losing my livelihood. I neither complain nor regret. Just stating facts.

There is however one way, albeit long and uncertain, to raise awareness. Book.

People, especially people of the kind you/we are up against, do not change. Ever. If they have capacity/ability for necessary introspect, then change - they will not be who they are.

Life is short. Stories travel far and stay long. Words matter.

I do not know whether I can do it and do it in the way it deserves to be done ... but I am trying. Weave the story that tells the truth.

You hit the nail on the head. This is the sad state of things we're in and people would rather plug their ears and pretend nothing's wrong than actually enact any real and meaningful change.

It is common sense that the hotlines and the current system doesn't help most people. If they worked, the suicide rate would be going down instead of going up. Despite this, they keep throwing money into a system that doesn't work without trying to change anything. Their idea to improve suicide prevention was to change the suicide prevention number to 988. It is going to cost them 650 million dollars just to get it up and running in the first year alone. They are just wasting money. Changing the number isn't going to help save anyone's life. They could have used that money to actually help a lot of people if they really wanted to.
