It's like smoking weed has become the default evening past time for me. I'm autistic and doing edibles/smoking weed has really helped me with unwinding after the day and relax and just have a few giggles. I'm afraid this might be very bad for me in the long run and in case I do decide to keep living longer I don't want to give myself complications idk I'm very worried for my own health.

Another issue(?) is that I am on prozac and I'm not sure if smoking weed while you're on prozac has health risks with it.

I also just feel like a loser for having to rely on weed in order to unwind and have a "fun time", do any other people have tips on how to smoke less weed? I would really appreciate if anyone could share some perspective :)

Have you ever tried stopping/smoking less in the past? If so what happened?

This is honestly the first time it has gotten this bad and I've noticed that I've been doing it more as my mental health has been declining. Before I didn't smoke weed at all, maybe once or twice a year, then I started doing it recreationally every weekend, and now I smoke weed several times a week..

Idk about the mix between drugs, however I understand that smoking weed will affect the brain fat, lungs and other organs long term, mayhbi transfer over to edibles. Generally safe though.

I'm also autistic and use a lot of weed. When I'm high, I realize all the times people are taking advantage of me or making fun of me, but I can't stop doing it. It feels like I'm addicted to torturing my own mind. It always gives me horrible anxiety and horrifying realizations about awkward moments, making me see when people I thought were friends were actually mocking me, and making me realize I'm even more weird and awkward than I already know I am when I'm sober.

Every time I smoke it confirms in my mind that I 100% want to CTB

I feel you, to my knowledge though weed is one of the healthier options if you're coping through using substances. I'd recommend doing edibles instead of smoking just out of concern for your lungs cuz any amount of smoke is bad for them, but otherwise you should be alright. if you're trying to cut back on usage I have a rule of only getting high or drunk when in social situations, other people will see how much youre doing warn you if youre overdoing it and can see if its bad for you, if you have any friends you can have come over to your place every week or so to get high together that might be good

Girl if you are a loser then so am I. I am on day 2 off weed so it is possible to quit its just not easy. I've been tapering down from an ounce a week of hydro to just one gummy a day. It's taken me three months but I'm through the worst of it.

I still don't know how to make my life worth living without weed. For most of my life its been my entire life. The only reason to have a job or even to get up in the morning was weed. I guess I could find a hobby but I really don't know how to do anything. So I guess I will kill myself. Just as soon as I find my balls.

Saw your post in a time of need. I was freaking out waiting for my plug cause he had me waiting an hour. car started fucking up. I realized maybe i should stop smoking. i think carts are way too accessible to me and that's the problem. If i stick with flower id probably be good as i have to find discreet ways to smoke it. Rather than a cart i can tap anywhere. It's the availability of it i guess, that i have to control because otherwise i tweak Out. i had no cart no weed today and I just said fuck it and spent 30 on ass. The only way i was able to quit before ( not even cause im still going, break I guess? ) was because i had no way of getting it. I guess i really don't know what to tell you, Sorry. only thing i can vouch for is how good of a coping mechanism it Is. i immediately felt better. Fuck.

Understandable. Fellow autismo here and I literally vape flower all day every day. Its like a compulsion just to not feel like shit all the time and maybe sometimes not be so depressed. I personally find that during my darker times, it helps me at least eat and maybe do some basic stuff instead of rotting in bed all day. Also have noticed it as a quick exit to certain meltdowns, not many though. Idk its expensive as shit where I am and tbh I'd like to quit but my mental health issues and general life stability make it insanely difficult to do so.

The only times I've ever successfully got through the initial stages of 'withdraw', if thats a thing for you, is to try and just find a game or something to keep your hands or mind really busy for a few days. Basically find something to really hyperfixate on and don't stop doing it. Force yourself to eat if you have issues with appetite and take whatever you got to get SOME sleep. Once you get through the first few days it becomes increasingly easier to abstain. Something to consider though, depending on how long you've been smoking all the time, you may notice a lot of struggles coming back to it in a more responsible way, but that really all depends on how frequent, why you were using so frequently, and other variables.

Wishing you the best of luck and support

I usually just play games on my pc or switch to help pass the time. Or just call my friends on discord. Or hang out with my one friend at his house when he invites me over. If any of them knew I browsed this site they would easily send me to a place to get help... But I want to die because everything sucks and I know I will never be able to move out on my own given the current world circumstances.
