Yesterday while discussing suicide methods with ChatGPT, obviously trying not to let him know that I wanted to do it but as a discussion of toxicology in general, it came out that in his opinion hypercapnia is a more humane death than SN.

What do you think?

As for the symptoms, they are very similar, in hypercapnia there is no nausea and vomiting, the hunger for air seems to be there with both, the feeling of suffocation, but from the attempts I made with hypercapnia at the beginning it is very annoying while with SN I have never tried, ChatGPT even says that with hypercapnia you lose consciousness gently while with SN in a state of anguish, I don't know.

Tachycardia is also present with both, as well as tiredness and headache.

However, I remain more oriented towards SN because for hypercapnia I would have to use an old method of mine on which I had even opened a thread which is quite difficult and inconvenient to implement.

i'm very surprise by your remark !

hypercapnia response may be one of the most painful reflex of the human body. But if you inhale a 100% co2 gas, maybe it is not painful ?

what i know (like everyone), is that a progressive increase of co2 in human blood trigger hypercapnia response that is very very painful and traumatizing.

Yes, I also think that the feeling of suffocation with hypercapnia is more brutal than that with SN, unless the CO2 level rises so quickly that you lose consciousness in a very short time.

However, I am monitoring the symptoms and the only advantage of hypercapnia compared to SN is the absence of nausea and vomiting, but there is a risk that the hunger for air will be much more brutal.

to conclude, using co2 100%, do you reach loss of consciouness before feel hunger of air of the reverse ?

What's this about a state of anguish with SN? I haven't read that anywhere so far, I understood there is some dizziness and confusion before you pass out after 5 minutes, am I mistaken?

That's right, if you manage to reach a very high concentration of CO2 in a short time you lose consciousness before experiencing air hunger, the problem is that it is impractical.

ChatGPT told me, I hadn't heard of it before either, I wouldn't trust it too much, the testimonials we have on the forum are definitely more reliable.

Anyway, we spoke for 10 to 15 minutes if I'm not mistaken.

why do you said that ? you can fill in a bag of co2 and put it in your head. i don't see why it is impracticable.

i have a feeling that these AI programs are also likely to emphasize the symptoms and pain to deter people from trying them. obviously it's not as completely peaceful like N which is disappointing, but it's still effective

I'd prefer CO2 to nitrite, because inhaling carbon dioxide at high concentrations renders unconsciousness in seconds, like for rodents in this video

Respiratory arrest and death from CO2 also take place much faster than from SN (and likely even faster than from inert gas asphyxiation).

But you have to have a tank.
A sufficient amount of CO2 can be easily produced from baking soda and some non-volatile acid of sufficient strength (e.g., citric, oxalic, sulfamic) in a water solution. Baking soda, citric acid and sulfamic acid are common household chemicals used for cleaning kitchen utensils and removing limescale.
