Slightly different. Hydroxychloroquine has one more oxygen atom (hence the "hydro" prefix) which changes the profile of the molecule. Hydroxychloroquine is known to be safer than chloroquine (i.e. the therapeutic dose is not as close from the toxic dose) and they have slightly different indications. Both are sold in "sulfate" form.
