I feel like the end is coming closer. I was barely conscious over the last few days. I wonder how dying will be like. What do you think?

I think it's just like hitting the power button. It's on, then it's off. I hope you haven't been in much pain.

From what we know it's just like before you were born. No consciousness, just peace.

it's hard to imagine but that's because you can't imagine something that's inherently unimaginable.

for instance, what does it feel like NOT to exist in Antarctica right now? nothing, because you aren't there. I think it'll be similar in that thoughts just won't be

I just heard that I had to be revived when I was unconscious on Saturday evening. Yeah, it seems like it's getting near

I agree that it depends on how the person dies, but I just think the process of dying is losing consciousness and awareness until there is nothingness for all eternity and by that point everything will be forgotten about.

I think if you die due to lack of oxygen in your brain, then you'll have some hallucinations before everything goes dark forever. And with hallucinations I mean like being in a dream.

It depends.....Perhaps the actual process of dying will be a little bit painful, but death is nothing but a moment....And you won't feel anything but peace eventually....

Das Nichts on the Inert Gas mega thread, who plans to use Nitrogen, did a test on himself, but left the Hood on too long, passed out and hit his head on a cabinet, dislodging the 25 liters per minute Nitrogen flow--Before he passed out, he said he saw red and green lights

It depends on the method.

First youll experience joy about being able to leave suffering behind, sadness that you didn't achieve everything you wanted, and guilt for leaving people behind.

Second, when dying, you'll experience the effects of your method. In your final moments you might quickly begin to question your beliefs about the afterlife. I think its natural to have doubts in your final moments.

Third, once you die, there will be nothing. Like a dreamless sleep. Like before you were born. Just nothing. A peaceful, neutral non existence.

I can understand why some would have guilt for leaving people behind. But personally it wouldn't be much of an issue for me, cause no one would really miss me. You can't overgeneralize these things. There are some people who just feel, and perhaps what they feel is reflective of the truth or experience, that they are invisible, forgotten or even a burden or hated.
