Help how well does the "night night" method work?

for anyone confused, it's in the megathread for suicide resources (sticky threads). I read it and it seems almost too good to be true. has anyone ever had luck with it?

It seems difficult to get it to work, though it has been done successfully. One individual posted here claiming to have been found 12 hours after losing consciousness with this method and was still alive with brain damage.

I attempted it twice when I was younger, and it didn't go well for me. It was quite painful and uncomfortable, and it's very likely to trigger your survival instincts. Given the pain and discomfort of this method.

I.D.K enough but i know for sure it's highly dependant on you finding the sweet spot
