How to write a proper suicide note?

I might commit suicide. I know for a fact that I want to die but I'm scared to try and fail. Thats why I'm saying I "might" commit suicide.

Anyways, I need help on how to write a proper suicide note to my family and a couple of my closest friends. I know my family will be sad when I kill myself so I want to ease the pain as much as possible.

I could make a video or send a scheduled text (An automatic text that sends at a certain time)

My method of suicide will be hanging so I cant send a text before I hang myself because then they'll find me.

What should I do?

I wrote a letter to my wife, my brother, and my parents. The ones to my parents and brother were hardest because I know they will suffer the most. But the one to my wife was easiest. She left me and that is why I am here today. I was honest and open, and told her everything I wished I could have said while she was here. I opened my mind and left nothing unsaid.

Just be honest and let the thoughts pour out. You can say anything you want. Once it is in their hands you will no longer be here and they will not judge you.

If you're absolutely sure, try to explain why you did it, some struggles you've been facing, and a classic apology I guess. Try not to make it so heartfelt, because that might just make the pain worse for them. Also, try not to make them feel at fault, unless it is their fault, in which case you should go all out. It's the last trace of yourself that you'll leave, after all.

I think that when writing a suicide note, there is no really right or wrong way to do it, it's up to the individual what to write and it's completely a personal decision, it just depends on what feels right. But I guess that someone could just make notes on everything that they want to say and then put it into paragraphs, I would personally say things like "suicide is what I wanted", and explain how I hated life so those left behind would be less likely to be left with as many unanswered questions.

I wouldn't write a note because it would be difficult to explain if I failed and probably wouldn't change anything anyway, but if I did I would make sure not to make it spiteful or it will inevitably come across as bitter and childish. Ultimately, a ctb note is not going to make your family forget you so I would keep it simple and to the point. I hope you make the right choice.

I consider mine not particularly good, wrote different versions and settled with something in the end.
Mine gives the root cause of the CTB but doesn't tell all the details.

I also made sure there are no vague statements or stuff that could have been discussed earlier because
i think that can put a lot of guilt on the persons.

Generally I focused on writing what I wish for those persons.
