How to Take SN with an Ulcer?

I have a pre-ulcer that came back. For various reasons treatment is difficult.

Can I no longer take SN? How could I manage the condition such that I could take SN? Aspirin / antacids / something else ? Natural remedies?

I figure you have two options. Pick a different method or just follow the guides with all recommended meds. An ulcer won't cause it to not work, but it might or might not be more uncomfortable. The protocol already has acid reducers and such, which is all you could really do anyway.

I'm not sure if ulcer medications like Sucralfate would interfere or not. The only other thing I can think of is don't even think about doing it during a flare-up.

I really couldn't even begin to guess. Everyone has a different pain threshold, and everyone seems to interpret and define pain differently.

For example, a lot of people think throwing up is excruciating. But I have a stomach disorder and throw up pretty much every day, and it's just an unpleasant inconvenience to me.

All I can say is SN is my method despite chronic GI issues. I figure it might be less peaceful, but I don't expect it'll be too painful.

you need to start taking proton pump inhibitors such as omeprazole at least a week before the date.
if it's a stomach ulcer, then you can avoid the discomfort by taking SN in capsules. this way in goes straight into your intestines

No, I think capsules would be a mistake. They dissolve unpredictably and seem to take longer, and it's not going to bypass the stomach. All it'll do is let you not taste it. With an ulcer, you do not want to slow things down more than necessary.

I’m not sure why you would need to change methods. If you have minimal discomfort with eating or drinking, there won’t be much difference when taking SN. A “pre-ulcer” shouldn’t make any difference.
