• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I don't get how people do anything at all and how they keep up the consistency of it. Im not just talking about jobs or studies but also things are considered mundane like talking, brushing teeth or anything simple like that. Even hobbies which were supposed to be fun just feels like a heavy chore to do and nothing is interesting. Don't want to do anything. Seeing people with high ambition and passion makes me extremely envious but at the same time i know I'll never be able to do all that. But i want to want it enough to do it everyday but i just don't.

Thats not being lazy. Youre depressed. I dont think I have any good tips, I struggled with it too, but for your oral hygiene always force yourself to floss and brush. Not doing other sorts of hygiene isnt that damaging long term but not brushing will ruin your life further more. Build a routine. It can be helpful. For me I wake up make my bed as fast as I can. Brush my teeth. Take a quick 15 min shower. Then go back to either bed rotting and scrolling or play games. You could also set a rule for yourself. Things you currently do could be used to help you take care of yourself more. For example, if you like playing games or just going on your phone. Make a rule for yourself that you cant do those things unless you take care of whats needs to be done such as brushing, showering, etc.

You could try to get on antidepressants. For some people it helps. I tried a lot but nothing worked for me, but I see a lot of people who tried the same antidepressants as me and they say it changed their lives so who knows. In a year or so If Im still this badly depressed I'll sign up for ketamine therapy. I heard it has a high success rate for people with treatment-resistant depression.

I wish you good luck. Please take care of yourself.

The antidepressants require a prescription which I don't have. But I'll keep the other advice in mind. Thanks and wishing you luck as well

It's really hard when you're depressed. Cold showers sometimes help make me do those things I really don't want to do. It's hard but you kind of have to just force yourself to do things.

There's a big difference between being lazy and being so mentally drained that your physical body refuses to function and let you perform basic tasks. I have an unlucky major depressive disorder and ADHD combo. Don't be too critical of yourself!

I know that lots of people use different daily tasks apps or games where you care for a virtual pet by doing tasks for motivation, which is great! I'm usually not motivated by typical means, so I resort some weirdly specific strategies. One sure fire way is to over empathize or guilt-trip my way into doing something. For example, "my laundry is sitting in the dryer and it's alone and scared" and "my toothbrush is really sad because I haven't been using it lately and it thinks it's no good". I don't recommend this one because I think it causes me more distress just to get things done lol, but if there are weird things like that motivate you, don't be afraid to try them! Maybe putting a more positive spin on them would be better, like "I'm going to feel so much better after a shower" or "If I can do this one task today, I will rest for the rest of the evening." Take your time and don't try to get everything done at once. It's completely fine to start with a goal as small as just getting out of bed.

It's like an otome game 🤣

Toothbrush-san is in need of your company. They'd like to be held against the warmth of your pearly whites. Laundry-kun is acting tsun because you've been giving too much attention to Bed-senpai these days. Might be time to check them up on them.
