How to recommend SN to someone legally

I obviously know that encouraging someone to kill themselves and to take SN is illegal. That's not what I want to do. This person does not want to live at all and I already suggested him to attempt therapy and see if that helps him enough to live. (Didn't really help him) is it okay if I send them an SN source? I just feel bad and I don't want them to attempt with an unreliable method and end up with brain damage. I will say something like "I'm not encouraging you to take this. I want whatever you think is best for you." Or should I just not send them an SN source but just tell them about SN?
This person has attempted many times already and is impulsive about it so I know that one day eventually he will eventually be brain damaged with some unreliable method if I don't tell him about this.

That sucks. It's a hard choice. If they're impulsive though I wouldn't encourage them. Just remind them that CTBing impulsively causes harm. It's possible they might recover?

I'd ask whether they're even planning to CTB anymore and if they currently have any plans to do it, try to get them to open up a bit before mentioning SN at all. Suicide can be a pretty taboo subject, so they might take it badly if you just straight up tell them how they should kill themselves.

You could always just direct them to this site. Tantacrul certainly had no qualms about that.

That doesn't seem right to me. Say someone says "I'm suicidal" and I say "jump off a bridge", now I'm legally responsible?
There are pages devoted to explaining the ways to suicide all over the internet. You'd think there would be lawsuits all over the place and people going to prison constantly if they can connect someone who suicides to their websites.

Personally I wouldn't touch that situation with a 10 foot pole. I know you want to help but it is probably best to just be present for them, and that's it. Too risky to share and they can find the information just like we all did, if they choose to. Protect your friend but protect yourself first.

Yeah that's exactly what I thought about doing. Not to mention they are from a 3rd world country so I don't really think nothing will happen but I'm just asking to see others opinion on this

He already told me he plans on doing it again. Recently he attempted with pills and he said he will do it once again soon
