Help how to not fail full suspension hanging?

tell me some advices or your stories of what have you done wrong to fail your suicide attempt

I read that a lot of hangings failed bc a suicide found too early and was rescued to suffer from braindamage. The second point of failure is rope itself or the things it attached to like wrapping a belt around clothing bar will certainly make a very unreliable hanging setup. it won't bear weight and belt is a bad choice for hangings in general

Yet, a few celebrities have done it with a belt and a door knob. No idea how that is even possible.

I've failed many times. Twice, I've woken up hours later on the floor, with the ligature around my neck, but it detached from the ceiling (the ceiling intact). Those two attempts still confuse me to this day. Other attempts have failed because the ligature was too long, and I ended up being able to stand on the floor, so make sure your anchor point is high enough, and your ligature isn't too long. Also, if you have ANY arm strength, your survival instinct will kick in, and you will be able to do a pull-up and get yourself back to safety. This has happened to me countless times. I'd recommend buying some cheap BDSM handcuffs or something of the like to tie your hands behind you to make yourself unable to save yourself, because no matter how much you want to die, you will thrash and try to escape once you are hanging.
