How to hide your body.

I apologize if my question is silly (afterall, why would you care about all this after you die?), but the country I hail from (India) has a lot of stigma associated with suicide, so I don't want my name plastered over the news, or for my parents to see the ghastly sight of my rotting, maggot-infested corpse. My plan is to do it at a remote hill station with the closest one being Ooty.

I seek to know if my wish of a spectatorless death and decomposition is realistic. Ideally, it should be rotten beyond recognition by the time they do find me. I don't think the police will care much either (Forensics) in the case of a clearly self inflicted death . I also plan to buy a new set of clothes and leave my phone at home to make it even harder.


If anyone shares the same predicament or the same sentiment about not wanting their bodies to be discovered please reply with your plans — especially if you live in a third world country like India.

I'm real sorry it has gotten to this point for you.
It's not silly and I've struggled with this too. My plan also involved making sure I'd disappear completely and my body wouldn't be found, at least for a long while.

This is what I thought out, basically hanging or other forms of constricting brain blood flow but laying down + burying myself. I abbandoned it after I realized digging a hole is a lot harder than I thought, and it'd require further days and planning to make it work, and also due to other personal reasons.
I also considered some ocean / body of water alternatives as I write about there, but drowning is not a pleasant way out, and I just didn't have the means to make it work there.

So it's hard. Your concerns are valid. Unless you have very specific circumstances or a place you know no one would check for a long while, it's not certain.
Some people gave me advice in the thread you might find useful. Wilderness or forests seem to be the go to for remote places and better chances. Again not a guarantee. The smell of decomposition will sill be there for days... and If you are declared a missing person and are found in that station not too far off from your home, the different clothes and state of your body might not be enough to make identification imposible... but yeah I thought that too.

Don't know if you've studied your station, if it's remote enough or there's at least someone who goes by there at least once a week. If anything you should.
I don't know your situation or what has brought you to this, all I can say is I'm sorry it has and I feel you, specially on this. So whatever you do I can only hope you have some easier days your way. If you need anything do ask. Hugs <3

This is exactly my concern too and I am also from India. My parents are in their seventies. While I can't stay alive and serve them till their death, I at least don't want my death to hit the news channels and make them deal with media mfers. There is no easy to do this I guess. Hiring a hitman and asking him to bury or burn your body after the execution is the first path to cross my mind. Or jumping from a mountain amidst a forest but that's too scary. I am also seriously considering doing it in another country exactly for this reason.

Are you comfortable with hanging? Depending on where you are, you can book a bus/train to a forest, go half a kilometer deep and then CTB. The chances of your body being found before they are eaten in a humid, tropical environment are slim — atleast according to my calculus.
