At least in my country you can't be reported as missing before 48 hrs or so have passed. I advise you to check that kind of law in your country...

I've spent nearly a year of my life in institutions, so there's no way an A&E would dump me outside after 6 hours. I just got out of being hospitalised for nearly 2 months, so I need to be really careful that nobody finds me mid attempt. I would definitely be kept inside for a substantial stay. I do agree that the police don't do their job, they encouraged me to drop rape charges. They're a disappointment.
Police won't usually start looking for an adult who has been reported missing for at least 24 hours. Most adults who are reported missing turn up quickly. If loved ones didn't report you missing no one would be looking for you. Can you say you will be staying with a friend or you are taking a short trip?
All phones can be tracked by cell phone towers unless they are turned off.
Unfortunately hotels don't take prepaid credit cards. At least in my experience they don't.
I'm hoping I'll be able to say that I'm taking a short trip, but because I've been unstable recently they might be suspicious and try to stop me. I've found a room that I can book equipped with "accessible" features to make sure there's a strong ligature point, but there's a lot of other stuff to figure out.

I would try to pretend like you are feeling better and happy and say a friend invited you somewhere. I don't know your specific circumstances but that's what I would try. I'm so sorry you are in such anguish. Police can track phones by which cell phone tower they are pinging from but only if they are turned on. I think in the US the police need a warrant to track a credit card. You could even pick up an inexpensive door jammer to prevent someone from opening the door to the hotel room you are in. Are you taking any type of medication or alcohol with the partial hanging? Hoping you are able to find peace.

They know how limited my social life is, I lost all of my friends apart from one after being institutionalised and I would feel bad if she felt guilty for covering for me and then found out why I'd asked her to. I do usually travel around a bit though, so I'm thinking of saying I want to go away for a few days, then tell them I'm going to a different city from the actual one I'm going to. Thank you. I hadn't heard of door jammers, I've been incessantly reading about different hangings and some things seem to say alcohol was in their system. I would also consider taking the pullup bar for full suspension in case partial doesn't work, but I think it's too bulky and would draw attention. I hope so too, it will take a lot more research. At the moment I'm just researching whatever I can in relation to this, but there don't seem to be many patterns.

I have no social life as well but if I told my parents I was going out of town with a friend they wouldn't check with the friend to make sure I was telling the truth. But everyone's family is different. Yes. You can buy a door jammer for under $20. I'd get one if I chose to ctb in a hotel to give myself more time and to make sure no one came in. Assisted pull up bars should fit in a suitcase fairly easily. I used to have one. They do take some time to install though. I am thinking about doing partial as well and I have some prescription medications that I would take to hopefully make it easier and perhaps some alcohol. Although I've never drank alcohol and don't know how it would make me feel. I recently came across a book about asphyxiation and it had some good ideas I hadn't thought of. Some people used their car seat and tied rope around their neck and to the head rest. Some tied rope around their neck and to the car head rest and to a tree. I might try that in a rural area.

Possibly... I also feel my family would check my post at the moment, maybe I can set up a PO box. I've wondered about using forest area, but I feel less likely to be interrupted in a hotel.
Yeah, very similar issue to me.
I don't know what country you are in but in the US you can ask the post office to hold on to your mail for a requested amount of time. Most people do that if they will be going on vacation. I don't know if you could do that. Or a P.O. box is a good idea too.
I don't know the police policies in the UK. In the US they don't take a missing person report for 24 to 48 hours for an adult. I don't think they can track your phone if it's off.
