Hi all! I'm planning on ctb via full suspension hanging next weekend. I'll be hanging in a hotel room against a closed door, and I expect that I will spend some time convulsing against the door, which could create noise. My question is, what time of day should I hang myself, to minimize the likelihood that someone files a noise complaint?

I could do it late at night - say 12am or 1am - when people are asleep, and hope that they sleep through my attempt. But this will be the quietest time of day, which makes my potential noise most likely to stand out. And it'll potentially be the time of day when people are least likely to tolerate noise disruptions.

I could instead do it earlier in the day, when people might be more willing to brush off the noise as sex, or the rest of the hotel ambiance. But people will definitely be awake, and therefore arguably more likely to hear my noise. They could also be working in their hotel rooms, and less likely to tolerate distractions during that time.

I dunno. I'm leaning towards doing it at night. Is that a mistake? What would you do?

What about switching on the TV and turning up the volume?I'd personally go for around 9:00 PM when people aren't sleeping. But you need a very short window, just 20 minutes of uninterrupted time, so it's not going to be a problem really.

Instead of adding noise, why not try to reduce it.

Maybe put the mattress between you and the door. Secure it in place so it doesn't move and get in the way or make any additional noise.

Do a little test by punching/kicking/body slamming it. If it turns out to be fairly quiet then you can pick just about any time you want.

I've been planning of partial hanging at a hotel, I'm thinking of maybe going to some random motel where people would usually go to for sex or maybe a nice 4-5 star hotel idk

Even if you make some noises people probable won't care

Dear Eva, I learned a lot form you and FS is also my preferred method and similar to you contemplating a hotel room.
This is how i plan to address some of my concerns for uninterrupted 1 hour
Check-in causal reckon and monitoring of hotel vibes and neighbors of the room, timing of minimal staff usually late at night.
noise monitoring from the room in hallway with loud TV at different times
convulsions: tie legs with gorilla tape , mouthgaurd or stuffed tissue for voicebox, padding door with mattress.
im super paranoid about SI or premature interruption
Can I PM you for more thoughts?
